Tinnitus, a sound in the background that is usually not there, is not always absent, but rather can be a very real thing. Radio frequency can sometimes be heard by people with very good hearing. Here's how it works: radio frequency waves can bounce around a room and convert electromagnetic waves into sonic waves as a result from the effects of EM waves going through solid things resulting in a small percentage of that EM bouncing off the physical things near the emissions source... vibrations from the EM hitting things such as windows cause electromagnetic waves being converted into sonic (sound) waves. This is a rather new discovery. What I don't currently know is what EM waves frequency is best and worst at converting into sonic waves. I would expect that different wavelengths affect sonic production in different ways.
