• Why Learn Foreign Languages?

A rather necessary skill in the intelligence community is the understanding
of foreign languages. It is rare that english speaking countries conduct intelligence on other english speaking countries. It does happen, but it is comparitively rare. Usually your work will be against nations that have very foreign foreign languages. Farsi, Arabic, Russian, and Spanish are useful languages. Farsi and Arabic because of the Muslim terrorists. Russia
because they give aid to terrorist nations. Spanish because there are a
large number of latin american nations going the Socialist/Communist way of government, that is against the free world.

Languages are great to know also because when you retire from the IC you can still get a job as an interpreter who does call-taking, one-on-one interpretation, and interpretation of people in the lecture circuit. You
could also teach "TEACHING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE" in foreign nations where you get paid very well for your teaching skills. Knowing other
languages can get you good job security, both in and out of the intelligence community.
